Microsoft 365 E7 Is Now Transactable — Copilot, Agent 365, and Entra in One $99/User Bundle
Microsoft's new top-tier enterprise SKU bundles M365 E5, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Agent 365, and Entra Suite into a single $99/user/month package now available in CSP channels. It creates a new pricing ceiling above E5 and bets everything on the agentic enterprise.
Microsoft’s M365 E7 Frontier Suite became transactable in CSP channels on April 1, 2026, at $99 per user per month. The bundle packages Microsoft 365 E5, Microsoft 365 Copilot, the new Agent 365 agentic platform, and Entra Suite into a single SKU — positioning it as the default licensing tier for enterprises that want Copilot and AI agents baked in from day one.
The “Frontier Suite” branding isn’t subtle. Microsoft is explicitly building toward what it calls the “human-led, agent-operated enterprise” — an org where AI agents handle routine workflows while humans own decisions.
What’s inside E7
- M365 E5 — the full Microsoft 365 productivity and security stack (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Defender, Compliance Center, Purview)
- Microsoft 365 Copilot — the existing LLM-powered assistant across Office apps, Teams, and the Microsoft Graph
- Agent 365 — the new agentic layer: autonomous agents that can run multi-step workflows across M365 services without a human in the loop for each step
- Entra Suite — identity, access management, verified ID, and network access (the full Entra stack, not just Entra ID)
Buying all four components à la carte costs more than $99/user/month. The bundle discount is the entry point to justify the E7 upgrade for procurement teams already on E5.
Agent 365 is the new variable
Microsoft’s Copilot sold well but remained an assistant: you prompt it, it responds. Agent 365 shifts that model toward autonomous execution. Agents can be triggered by events — a new lead in Dynamics 365, a contract arriving in SharePoint, a support ticket in Teams — and process them end-to-end without manual handoffs.
For enterprises, that’s a different kind of pitch than “write emails faster.” It’s closer to headcount replacement math, which is why the E7 positioning leans hard into ROI language.
CSP partner structure
The E7 SKU is available on monthly, annual, and triennial commitment terms through the Partner Center CSP channel. Partner incentives and promotions run April 1 through December 31, 2026. Microsoft is clearly trying to move CSP partners to the E7 motion before the end of this fiscal year.
Direct-to-enterprise availability through EA and MCA-E channels is expected to follow shortly, but the CSP-first launch is consistent with Microsoft’s strategy of validating new SKUs through the partner channel before broader commercial rollout.
The larger picture
E7 creates a new pricing tier above E5 that didn’t exist before. Every enterprise running E5 is now a potential upgrade target. The timing — alongside the Azure AKS and AI Foundry disclosures this week — reflects a Microsoft that is aggressively unifying its cloud, security, and AI surfaces into a single enterprise motion.
The bet is that organizations paying for AI agents at scale will pay $99/user/month without blinking, as long as the ROI math is legible. Q3 commercial cloud numbers will show whether that bet is landing.
